Oakville hosts its first Competition Weekend in OWL Play

Oakville Successfully Hosts OWL League Play June 4th/5th, 2011

This weekend saw Oakville host play for women's field teams in the U15, U19 and Senior women's divisions from across Ontario and the GTA.
 
 

2010 U15 Oakville All Stars

 

Oakville Lady Hawks players Lexi Doherty and Sarah Hill were named to the U15 all-star team at the recent provincial girls' field lacrosse championships in Whitby.

Doherty was the second leading scorer on her team and was viewed as a team leader both on and off the field.  Her tenacity of draws (face-offs) made for easy possessions for her squad.  Doherty, a goalie in rep hockey, will attend Abbey Park High School this year. 

Hill's strong work ethic enabled her to scoop up most of the ground balls that came her way, leading to extra possessions for her club.  Hill, who will attend T.A. Blakelock High School this year, will also be know for her positive team-first attitude throughout the inaugural season for girls field lacrosse in Oakville.
