SR. PEANUT

AGE PROGRAM PRACTICES GAMES GOALS OF DIVISION
2006 Development of skills. Contact will be introduced throughout the season. Coaches participate on the floor with the players. A Sr. Peanut select team will be chosen during the season to participate in exhibition games and tournaments. There will be participation in the final Gala Week tournament. Wed. Or Thurs. 6-7pm @ Glen Abbey Arena No Formal Games - Practices Saturday - 9-10 am @ Glen Abbey Arena 1. FUN 2. Skill Development, Learning to pass, catch, throw, cradle, positional play. Contact is introduced on a limited, controlled basis. Portion of the practices used for game like scrimmages. Preparation of players for next level of play.

 

TYKE

AGE PROGRAM PRACTICES GAMES GOALS OF DIVISION
2004/2005 Development of skills and first introduction to full game participation. Timed 2 minute shifts in games. Max 3 goal limit per game per player. Development and learning of skills - Beginner to advanced players will learn the rules and strategies of the game. Full contact. Players will go through a preseason assessment and placed on a team. Balancing of teams after the 3rd week will take place to ensure a competitive division. One practice and 1 game per week with the final Gala Week tournament that will see a team playing a minimum of 4 games. Wed. Or Thurs. 6-7pm @ Arena TBD Saturday Games 11-1 pm @ Glen Abbey Arena Continued Skill Development, learning to pass, catch, throw, cradle and positional play. Team offence and defensive strategies implemented. Playing safely and respect for the game and play emphasized.

 

NOVICE

AGE PROGRAM PRACTICES GAMES GOALS OF DIVISION
2002/2003 Development of skills and first introduction to the 30 second shot clock and line changing on the go. Max 3 goal limit per game per player. Development and learning of skills - Beginner to advanced players will learn the rules and strategies of the game. Full contact. Players will go through a preseason assessment and placed on a team. Balancing of teams after the 3rd week will take place to ensure a competitive division. One practice and 1 game per week with the final Gala Week tournament that will see a team playing a minimum of 4 games. Wed. Or Thurs. 6-7pm or 7-8 pm @ Arena TBD Saturday Games 12-3 pm @ Glen Abbey Arena Continued Skill Development, learning to pass, catch, throw, cradle and positional play. Team offence and defensive strategies implemented. Playing safely and respect for the game and play emphasized.

 

PEEWEE

2000/2001 Continued development. Beginner to advanced players will learn the rules and strategies of the game of skills and strategies. 30 second shot clock and line changing on the go. 1998/1999 Continued development. Beginner to advanced players will learn the rules and strategies of the game of skills and strategies. 30 second shot clock and line changing on the go. Max 3 goal limit per game per player. Full contact. Players will go through a preseason assessment and placed on a team. Balancing of teams after the 3rd week will take place to ensure a competitive division. One practice and 1 game per week with the final Gala Week tournament that will see a team playing a minimum of 4 games. Focus on respect of the game and opponent. Advanced strategies and skill development provided. Wed. 7-8 pm @ Arena TBD Saturday Games 5-6 pm @ Glen Abbey Arena Continued Skill Development, learning to pass, catch, throw, cradle and positional play. Team offence and defensive strategies implemented. Playing safely and respect for the game and play emphasized.

 

MIDGET

AGE PROGRAM PRACTICES GAMES GOALS OF DIVISION
1996/1997 Continued development. Players will learn the rules and advanced strategies and skills of the game. 30 second shot clock and line changing on the go. Max 3 goal limit per game per player. Full contact. Players will go through a preseason assessment and placed on a team. Balancing of teams after the 3rd week will take place to ensure a competitive division. The first two weeks will consist of 1 practice and 1 game moving in week 3 to 2 games a week with the final Gala Week tournament that will see a team playing a minimum of 4 games. Focus on respect of the game and opponent. Wed. 7-9 pm @ Arena TBD Saturday Games 5-7 pm @ Glen Abbey Arena Continued Skill Development, learning to pass, catch, throw, cradle and positional play. Team offence and defensive strategies implemented. Playing safely and respect for the game and play emphasized.
